Airbnb commissioned us to create a new timeline for their European headquarters. The timeline was to celebrate the history of their stored warehouse location, to show the various industries and activities that took place there and to show Airbnb building upon that heritage respectfully. Upon discovering that the warehouse had formally been an ice factory, a Raleigh bike factory and a skate park, we decided not to do a graphical timeline but a physical one, made up of objects from the buildings past. We sourced bikes, skateboards, brochures, photographs, hats, posters and even an ice axe and displayed everything in a bespoke pegboard wall, that could grow with them as they grew.
